Where Are They Now CROSSING THE BRIDGE INTO MOVIE STARDOM Since ANOTHER WORLD was sadly cancelled this year, Michael Rodrick (Cameron) has been keeping himself busy on the independent film circuit as the star of "Under Hellgate Bridge", which had it's sold-out premiere at the Avignon/New York Film Festival in April. According to Rodrick, It's a western set in Astoria, Queens. A guy gets out of jail and he goes back to the old neighborhood to set things straight. Naturally, a lot of things get in the way." Also starring in the film are THE SOPRANOS' Vincent Pastore and Dominic Chianese. Rodrick will be taking "Under Hellgate Bridge" to the 23rd annual Montreal World Film Festival from August 27 - September 6. "I know AW had a lot of fans in Canada," states the actor, "so I hope a lot of them turn out for it." After Montreal, the film is scheduled to take part in the Breckinridge Festival of Film in Colorado from September 16-19, as well as the Independent Feature Film Market at the Angelika Film Center in New York City from September 17-24. So if you AW fans are missing the hot Rodrick, you know where to find him-in "Hell"-gate. |
Rodrick doesn't rule out a return to daytime TV. However, with the favorable reviews he's been receiving with his indie flick, he may be making a name for himself in movies. |
